600 Dogs Jumped From A Haunted Suicide Bridge

It was reported that cases of more than 600 dogs have already jumped from a bridge that was dubbed as the ‘haunted suicide bridge’, it was also reportrd that at least 50 of them jumped to their deaths. It was bizarre in a way that no one has an idea on why the bridge is attracting dogs to kill themselves. The bridge is located in Milton, Dumbarton, Scotland, The Overtoun Bridge.

The Overtoun Bridge become famous for the number of unexplained instances in which dogs have apparently committed suicide by leaping off of it.

The incidents were first recorded around the 1950's or 1960's when it was noticed that dogs - usually the long-nosed variety like Collies - would suddenly and unexpectedly leap off the bridge and fall fifty feet to their deaths.  In some cases, however, the dogs would survive, recuperate, and then leap off the bridge again.  The locals have a name for these dogs: second-timers.

What makes this tragic mystery even more mysterious is that many of the dogs that jump from Overton Bridge jump from the same side and from almost the same spot: between the final two parapets on the right-hand side of the bridge. - slightlywarped

Some claims that something is making the dogs over-excited, that's why they were so attracted while others also claimed that supernatural forces are to blame. People were still clueless on the concrete reason why dogs are being lured to their deaths on the said bridge.

Experts have shared their thoughts about the haunted bridge.
‘I was standing there two years ago when I felt a firm, hard prod that felt like a finger, Something or someone was trying to push me over the bridge too, just like the dogs.’  Paul Owens, religious and philosophy teacher
‘Just me as a person, all of your sense are on fire, you can sense and smell the waterfall. I can smell the undergrowth and I can see the Gothic part of the bridge, It’s perfectly natural for people to want to look down and I’m wondering if it’s the same for dogs. I think it’s highly likely at all of the cases that it was curiosity that killed the dog.’ - Dr. David Sands, animal behaviourist

Locals also claimed that the bridge is haunted by the ‘White Lady of Overtoun’.
